Cookie Policy

Last updated 6 August 2026

A cookie is a small file a site stores in your browser. We use as few as we can. Nothing except the essential ones runs until you have chosen — the advertising and analytics tags are not loaded at all before that, rather than loaded and told to sit quietly.

You can change or withdraw your choice whenever you like: , or clear cookies in your browser. We also respect “Do Not Track” and Global Privacy Control — if your browser sends either, we do not record you even if you accepted.

Essential — always on

These are needed for the site to work. They cannot be switched off, and they are not used for tracking.

Analytics — your choice

First-party only. This tells us which pages work and where people stop reading. It records no IP address, no fingerprint, and nothing that identifies you anywhere else. The data is not shared with anyone.

If you decline, or later withdraw, this cookie is deleted and nothing is recorded.

Advertising — your choice

These are set by advertising platforms so we can see which adverts brought people here. They do share data with those companies, and they may be used by them for their own purposes.

Cookies set by embedded video

When a page contains a video, the video provider may set its own cookies once the player loads. Where we embed YouTube we use its no-cookie domain, which does not set advertising cookies unless you play the video.

If you refuse everything

  • The site works normally — you can browse, sign up, pay and use every feature.
  • We simply will not know you visited, and adverts will be measured less accurately.
